Panel meeting October 2nd 2014

Nelson Community Panel 2nd October 2014Present:Councillor Madden
Joan Cozens
Trish Webb (Bell)
Diane Lendrum

Apologies: Chris Jones & John Cass
1. The bid from St Saviours was considered. The quote was gone through to see if we could understand it.
Volunteers have been putting in many hours to clear the gardens.
We agreed to give the £2,000 and they could do what they can for that. Tools, plants weed control products membranes.
The panel will ensure that this is what will be done and the money will be spent. To buy the materials and the work is done when the season permits.
Action: Trish to speak to Father Calder from St Saviours.

2. The things that have been sent to us.
3. Reminders about the panel deadlines
4. A letter from the Civil Society
5. I have chased up the final reports
6. I have emailed the Community Development Foundation about the database. They need to administer the changes but I have had no reply.
7. Stamshaw Infants School are now spending their money. They have bought a cake and there are a lot of photocopied receipts for bits that they have spent. They are nearly there with spending. They need to do the return.
TW to Chase people up again
8. Community Crafters have been having trouble returning theirs and they have emailed their return to Community Development foundation.
9. No returns from Peak Performance.
10. Stamshaw have still got one more to do.
11. Diddy Dots need to be chased up.
Action Joan Cozens to chase them up as well as the Community Crafters. Action Trish to ring them up and chase things up.
12. There is £4,452.73 left to allocate by the end of the year. We need a couple more big bids.
The Scheme Manager at St Johns Court has moved on now. I will speak to them about perhaps a trip with volunteers going with them and the residents paying a couple of quid. It was suggested that the New Forest could be.
13. The open day in Buckland John Cass went along to it with Diane Lendrum. However nothing came out of it.
14. The Autumn Fayre at the Mountbatten Centre was cancelled.
Fruit trees in the form of an orchard in the Buckland area.
15. The next meeting will be in Thursday the 20th November at 10am at Stamshaw Community Centre. The next meeting after that will be in end of December Thursday the 18th December to have out final meeting at the Stamshaw Community Centre.
We will have more meetings to wind things up in February/ March time. The next lot of dates are to be set in December. Ideally we need to get it allocated.
16. We need bids in for the rest of the money.
